A small vehicle that helps you explore and mine. The rover lets astronauts cover distances quicker and carry more cargo than when mining on foot, and can also carry a tourist. A level 10 rover will generally have enough range to complete any daily assignment.
It can be assembled on a ship by Astronauts, in an Outpost by Astronauts or Workers, or in the Workshop, by using 3 vehicle parts (either purchased in the Market, or crafted in the Workshop from 2 steel ingots each). Direct assembly costs 2 Life Support, and grants 19 XP if performed by an Astronaut, while assembly at the Workshop is free but may have to wait in the queue.
Prior to version 1.1.294, the Rover cost 3 Rover Parts, which could be purchased from the Market, or 5 steel ingots.
